Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current practice permit with a minimum of 2 years of experience in rehabilitation practice, including community rehabilitation and/or outpatient specialized service settings. Extensive knowledge of patient population needs, health care continuum, and leading practices in collaborative, interdisciplinary rehabilitation. Extensive knowledge of pre- and post-surgical care needs and practices. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to develop therapeutic relationships and navigate sensitive situations. Ability to create effective internal and external partnerships. Aptitude for performing in an environment of innovation, continuous change, and learning. Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. Initiative and ability to work independently in clinical and virtual settings. Access to own vehicle. Ability and willingness to travel to a number of community sites and client homes as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Canadian College of Alberta Psychologists membership preferred, or other organization closely affiliated to psychology practice areas is an asset. Psychologist I may need to sit for long periods of time. In a community setting, there are occasionally some physical demands with transporting equipment, therapy materials (20-50lbs) or bending/rotation, etc. as required for clinical duties. BLS-HCP Certification.
