Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks and may involve physical exertion not limited to climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and carrying which may involve visits to client homes that are not ideal.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years Home Care experience within the last 5 years. Current use of Meditech, Service Authorizations, RAI-HC, Netcare, and AADLs. Experience with HPT, wound care, client teaching, palliative support. Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and ability to work in a collaborative team demonstrating adaptability and flexibility. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered.
