Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:3-5 years RN experience dealing with entire age spectrum including seniors. At least one year of current Canadian nursing experience. Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, case management, interpersonal relationships, and organizational leadership. Excellent ability in the organization and delivery of care to senior’s health clients. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to be flexible to time commitments and to meet the needs of clients in the Senior’s Health program.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a Home Care role. RAI-HC certification. Supportive Pathways/P.I.E.C.E.S certification. Palliative Care course/experience. Wound care course/experience. It’s Your Move course. Medication Assistance Program (MAP).
