Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making abilities required. Basic computer skills required. Successful candidate must be able to lift 40 lbs. (18kg). Must be able to attend Hemodialysis training in Edmonton or Red Deer. Hemodialysis Training is held in Edmonton or Red Deer depending on classroom/instructor availability; a pass mark of 80% on the final exam and satisfactory performance during the clinical component is required to move onto buddy shifts. Unit specific orientation shifts will be assigned by the hiring manager. Required to attend 2-day mandatory post orientation (3Months Post). Must be able to do Charge Nurse. Active or be eligible for registration and practice permit with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA).

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years recent Med-Surgical Nursing experience is an asset. Recent acute and chronic Hemodialysis and or nephrology Nursing experience is an asset. Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills.
