Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:While in orientation which includes emergency care specialty education, these positions are supernumerary in nature until the training is complete and independent practice competency has been assessed and met. The GN will be required to apply for all available regular vacant positions of no less than .5 FTE and may work additional shifts above their FTE once it is determined they are ready to practice independently.
