The Oilfields General Hospital is nestled 58kms southwest of Calgary in beautiful Diamond Valley, Alberta. The vibrant Hospital offers an excellent rural nursing opportunity in a unique and diverse Alberta Health Services care facility. We are looking for registered nurses who have recently (within 1 year) graduated from an accredited nursing program. By joining our team will have the opportunity to develop your nursing skills in our Emergency Department as well at the Acute Care Unit. You will work with a collaborative, dedicated, young multi-disciplinary team to expand your skills as a newly registered nurse. Rural nursing is a unique and challenging setting, and we hope that you will join us. Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications:Graduated from an Accredited Nursing Program within the last year. The RN requires the ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching and sustaining posture within a fast-paced unit requiring lifting, pushing and pulling of objects greater than 50lbs.
