Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) [Heart and Stroke Standards] taken in last 12 months and Intravenous certificates are required. Graduation from a recognized nursing education program. Clinical experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Experience with acute medicine and/or surgical patients is preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skills, and computer literacy are necessary. Demonstrated reliability/dependability. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of patients.
