Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Certification and recent experience in direct IV push drug administration preferred and IV start proficiency. A demonstrated knowledge of Gastroenterology/Pulmonary medicine as well as anatomy and physiology of the GI/Respiratory systems. Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting. Ability to work in a fast paced team environment while being able to: lift 20lbs, push 250lbs, transfer 250lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:2 years nursing experience with Emergency or ICU or PACU. Recent experience in Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy. Computer literacy.
