Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of nursing experience. Demonstrated skills in problem solving, case management, interpersonal relationships, and organizational leadership. Excellent ability in the organization and delivery of care to Seniors Health clients. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to be flexible to time commitments and to meet the needs of clients in the Seniors Health program.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in the community sector will be considered. Home Care, Seniors Health, Discharge Planning and Placement or related experience is preferred. Experience in a rural setting will be considered an asset. Knowledge of RAI assessment tools is considered an asset. Completion of the AHS Case Management Education is considered an asset. Excellent ability in case management and coordination an asset.
