Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 3 years community (Home Care) experience required. Strong knowledge of Home care program, the acute care environment, community resources and stakeholders is required. Demonstrated excellent communication skills in complex and dynamic environments. Ability to work independently as well as being a contributing member of the team.
Preferred Qualifications:A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing/Psychiatric Nursing preferred; however, skills, and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered. Knowledge of, and comfort with, Meditech, MedWorxx, RAI-HC, Inter-RAI-CA, and other electronic documentation tools as asset. Familiarity with using a PC, Internet, and Microsoft Office applications an asset. Ability to provide case management support is an asset. Experience with HPT, wound care, client teaching are assets.
