Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with a least one year of current Canadian nursing experience. Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, case management, interpersonal relationships, and organizational leadership. Excellent ability in the organization and delivery of care to senior health clients. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to be flexible to time commitments and to meet the needs of clients in the Seniors Health program.

Preferred Qualifications:

A baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in the community sector will be considered. Home Care, Seniors Health, Discharge Planning and Placement or related experience is preferred. Experience in a rural setting will be considered an asset. Knowledge of RAI assessment tools, completion of the AHS Case Management Education and excellent ability in case management and coordination is considered an asset.
