Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:2 years current acute care, surgical or cardiac preferred, nursing experience may be considered with demonstrated: Maintenance of clinical competence and proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:ICU and/or cardiac experience with: Strong physical assessment skills, experience in care of ventilated patients, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, VAD's, CRRT, IABP, administration of vasoactive medications. Certificate in Adult Critical Care Nursing an asset. ACLS Certification. Degree in Nursing. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively in stressful and emergent situations. Exceptional communication and collaboration.
