Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:1 year experience as a RN in a critical care setting (ICU, CCU, CVICU) within the last 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors Degree - Nursing. 3 years’ experience in a critical care setting (ICU, CCU, CVICU) within the last 5 years. ICU charge experience. Current certification in ICU advanced competencies – Outreach, ECG & 12 Lead Interpretation, Arterial Lines, CVC, Defib, IV push, Advanced Hemodynamics (PA Catheter), TVP, NMB, CRRT, IO, SPFT. CNA Certification. Certificate in Adult Critical Care Nursing (ACCN). ACLS. Experience as a preceptor and/or orientating new staff.
