Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Community-related experience required e.g., Integrated Home Care (IHC) or Integrated Supportive & Facility Living (ISFL) experience. Must have excellent assessment skills, critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, conflict management and organizational skills to work with a multi-disciplinary team which includes managers, allied health, physicians, and Nursing staff. Caseloads and daily work can be unpredictable – frequent interruptions and multi-tasking are required. Ability to reset priorities and be flexible to meet healthcare system and family/client challenges (e.g., urgent placements) Physically able to perform assigned tasks which may include walking a minimum of 3kms per shift (including stairs) while carrying resource materials weighing up to 25lbs. Required to perform up to 6 hours of keyboarding (up to 50 wpm) and written documentation per shift while navigating a variety of software programs. Familiarity with computer programs (NetCare, SCM, PARIS, Strata Pathways, Connect Care) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in the community sector will be considered. High level of independence and decision-making ability.
