Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of medical/surgical experience required. Minimum of three years community related experience (i.e. Integrated Home Care) required. Must have excellent assessment skills, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills in order to work with a multi-disciplinary team which includes allied health, physicians and nursing and clerical staff. Caseloads and daily work is unpredictable - frequent interruptions, multi-tasking required and the ability to reset priorities on an hourly basis due to challenges i.e. capacity triggers. Collaboration with all stakeholders to assess, coordinate and evaluate client needs necessary. Must be computer literate with familiarity with use of PARIS, HomeFirst, Pathways, Netcare and other software programs. Required to perform up to 6.50 hours of keyboarding (up to 50 wpm) and written documentation per shift while navigating a variety of software programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered.
