Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute adult medical/surgical setting as a Registered Nurse. Recent experience or training in colorectal cancer (screening or care) – Gastroenterology, Endoscopy or Cancer Treatment. Previous experience facilitating group educational sessions (up to 50 participants). Strong organization, communication, analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to function independently, and within a team in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication and decision making skills. Professional manner with a focus on ensuring a very positive patient experience. Must be able to multi-task and problem-solve. Sensitivity to the political and working environment. Intermediate computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in SCOPE Program or other CRC Screening Program. Knowledge and experience related to colorectal cancer screening – indications for screening, pathology reviews, surveillance intervals / treatments / therapies.
