Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 -2 years of oncology experience required. Two years’ experience in adult oncology nursing. At least two years’ experience in an acute care setting. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills. Ability to adapt to changes in work duties/responsibilities and priorities; detail oriented and able to follow tight timelines. Ability to learn new technical skills related to the position in order to perform daily duties (Electronic Medical Records and other software or devices used for documentation and data capture). Conducts all aspects of role with integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered. Previous Clinical Research Nursing experience preferred. Completion of Canadian Oncology Nursing Certification (CON-C), Oncology 101, Oncology Preparedness Education Program (OPREP) preferred. Society of Clinical Associates’ Certification (SOCRA), Good Clinical Practice, Division 5 or National Institutes of Health training preferred.
