Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Qualifications:

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certificate. A minimum of three-five years recent experience working in a community or acute children’s mental health and/or addictions setting. Proficiency with computers, specifically the MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills in mental health risk assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, case management and psychotropic medications used to treat youth with psychiatric diagnosis. Experience working with child and family services, health partnership initiatives, multicultural groups and new program development. Familiarity with eClinician EMR and ARMHIS is an asset.
