Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:At least 2 years of nursing experience. BCLS-HCP from Heart and Stroke Foundation within the last 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice will be considered. Experience working with acute clients and/or long term clients. Recent experience in a community setting. 2 years Home Care experience preferred. Experience in providing case management services, Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification in Gerontology. Experience in Home Parenteral Therapy (HPT), wound/skin and ostomy care, palliative support and client teaching.
