Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:The candidate must have 2-3 years nursing experience with 1-2 years recent community experience (Home Care Experience preferred). This role requires travel; possession of a valid drivers’ license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related purposes as a requirement of this position. You will be required to operate a laptop computer and mobile phone, and for handling (lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, and pulling) as a regular part of the job. For example: lifting approximately 30 pounds in an out of a vehicle on a regular basis and carrying this weight up and downstairs throughout the day is common within this job. Intermediate level of computer skills; excellent organizational and time management skills with strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Case mgmt exp strongly preferred. InterRAI training, continuing care legislation, and decision making and capacity. Exp with an adult pop aged 18–64, chronic disease management, palliative care, mental health, addictions, trauma informed care, interdisciplinary coordination. Direct clinical care inc nursing interventions, med management, wounds, HPTP, ostomy, mobility, transfers, equipment, family assessment, independent community practice.
