Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of five years of tertiary hospital based nursing experience. Bed placement or bed coordination experience. Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting and be able to walk long distances and quickly navigate throughout the entire hospital. Experience using computer applications: Connect Care (or experience with other electronic medical records), Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) & Netcare. Experience with prior leadership roles, such as a Charge Nurse or Team Lead. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Must be able to cope with high levels of stress.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Experience at the UAH preferred. Emergency Department experience considered an asset.
