Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Five years of recent clinical nursing experience in an acute care surgical setting required. Experience and expertise with surgical patients receiving multimodal analgesia including but not limited to PCA, Epidural, and Regional Nerve Blocks required. Must demonstrate an ability to be self-directed with an ability to adapt and set priorities and effectively organize, prioritize, plan and deliver pain management, as well as collect data and support research. Demonstration and experience with teaching and mentoring staff required. Strong communication and critical thinking skills required. Basic computer skills in MS Office Suite, Word, Excel required.
Preferred Qualifications:ACLS preferred. Experience in critical care or recovery room preferred. Ability to work within VAX, Tandem, and Access preferred.
