Registered Nurse
Your Opportunity:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral member of the Pediatric Medicine team at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, providing high-quality, family-centred care within the Pediatric Complex Care and Seasonal Capacity Program. This position offers an opportunity to care for children with medical complexity while supporting the hospital’s evolving inpatient capacity needs. This may include medical technology, complex medication and feeding regimens, respiratory support, and coordinated multidisciplinary care. This seasonal role supports periods of increased inpatient demand. Although pediatric complex care is the primary clinical focus, the RN may work across inpatient units in response to changing patient volumes, acuity, and surge requirements. Clinical location, patient population, and operational priorities may change throughout the seasonal period; flexibility and adaptability are essential. The RN provides comprehensive assessment, clinical judgment, care coordination, and individualized care planning, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote continuity and safe transitions of care. The successful candidate demonstrates strong clinical decision-making, communication, teamwork, and a commitment to safety, continuous learning, and patient- and family-centred care. This role offers valuable experience in pediatric complex care and a dynamic inpatient environment while contributing to improved outcomes for children with medical complexity and their families.
