Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active CRNA Membership in good standing. 3 to 5 years of experience in Cardiac Sciences within an acute care setting, with experience gained within the last 2 years. Ability to provide coverage for the Cardiac Transition team, offering patient education in cardiology and cardiac surgery as needed. Capable of transporting patients to and from education classes (including pushing/pulling a wheelchair) and providing CPR in emergency situations. Proficient in administrative tasks and computer applications, including MS Office and Connect Care. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Proven leadership excellence, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with others. Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities; comfortable working within a team environment. Strong conflict resolution, change management, project management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing interruptions and making quick decisions when necessary.
