Your Opportunity:
As a patient Flow Coordinator you will be primarily responsible for the promotion and facilitation of optimal patient flow for the site on a day-to-day basis. You will: Report to the Site Manager and work collaboratively with Bed Placement, Unit Clinicians & Physicians to ensure patients are placed in the most appropriate care settings in a timely manner while balancing workload across the site. Collaborate with RAAPID and other within zone & out of zone contacts regarding patient transfers to & from the ACH. Verify & monitor capacity related data and support the site in ongoing quality improvement initiatives related to capacity and patient flow. Lead site-wide initiatives that impact patient flow, patient safety & workplace health & safety. You will support Bed Placement staff & have oversight of day-to-day operations, identifying critical situations, providing guidance in relation to capacity management. Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years within the last 7 years of pediatric experience in a tertiary hospital setting including surgical and medical care provision. Bachelor of Nursing required. Combination of experience and education will be considered. Either formal or informal leadership experience. Experience with Connect Care. Physical ability to complete in person rounds through patient care spaces. To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered please attach a resume and cover letter with your application. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with quality improvement, project management and change management. Experience with collecting, analyzing and synthesizing data.
