Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current adult day surgery, preadmission clinic and endoscopy nursing experience within the last 2 years is required. Preferred Charge nurse experience. Demonstrated excellent assessment, documentation, clinical, organizational, and patient care skills. Proficient in medication administration calculations. Ability to deal with stressful situations, prioritize complex patient care needs and demands, prioritize workload assignments, and cope with frequent interruptions. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a team and demonstrate collaborative communication skills. Ability to lift, must not have current activity restrictions, such as pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
