Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Physical ability to perform CPR on Adult Clients is required. Must be able to lift and carry 10-15 kg regularly. Must be able to participate and perform hands on care of patients (i.e., transfers, bariatric client assistance, bending, twisting stooping) and to fulfill job requirements including but not limited to reaching above shoulders frequently, looking up frequently, long periods of keyboarding, walking long distances, and standing for prolonged periods of time. Minimum of two years recent adult acute care experience in Medicine or Surgery is required. IV certification and experience, as well as use and care of Central Venous Access Device is required. Connect Care experience is required. Certified in administration of Systemic therapy, completion of OPREP education. Recent (within 2 years) Wound care assessment skills are required. Must have excellent communication and documentation skills and the ability to participate as an interdisciplinary team member.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in performing therapeutic phlebotomy. Experience in ambulatory infusion clinic. Charge Nurse experience.
