Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Proficiency with Timeless, Connect Care, Microsoft Word, Outlook, MS Teams. Skilled in clinical decision making and priority setting. Demonstrated critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment. Patient teaching and family support skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Post-graduate continuing education on breastfeeding teaching & support. NRP Instructor certification. Bachelor of Nursing. Experience attending neonatal resuscitation & neonatal admission. NICU experience within the last year. Level 3 NICU experience within last 5 years. Preceptorship of a final focus nursing student in last 2 years. Completion of NICU Certificate Program. Minimum of five years of current NICU nursing experience. NICU Charge Nurse experience within the last 2 years.
