Registered Nurse
Your Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Edmonton Zone Virtual Home Hospital (EZVHH) team using innovative health care for complex problem solving. The Virtual Home Hospital is a virtual inpatient unit operating at College Plaza where complex medical and surgical patients receive hospital-level care in their home, replacing days spent in acute care. Care is overseen by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacy, and Community Paramedics. The EZVHH provides an avenue for patients who are functionally stable but require a hospital-level medical or surgical intervention that would otherwise require inpatient admission. As a key member of the EZVHH team, the Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and care planning for patients with a variety of complex acute medical conditions and surgical needs. In Addition, the RN will visit multiple sites within the EZ providing program education and case finding support to our partners. All duties and responsibilities of the RN will follow the guidelines developed by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
Description:
