Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.
Additional Required Qualifications:FHS, NRP, CTAS within 6 months of hire. IV initiation and infusion therapy certification or equivalent proof of competency. Experience using windows computers, Outlook, Connect Care. This position involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, patient transfer, pulling, typing, and fine motor tasks, with lifting requirements of up to 100 lbs occasionally, 21–50 lbs frequently, and 0–20 lbs constantly.
Preferred Qualifications:ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC or EPIC. Rural Nurse Connect Care Trained. RSI Training or airway management experience, procedural sedation training. Education/experience with breastfeeding support. 1 year experience labor and delivery, emergency or rural acute care in the last 3 years. Charge Nurse experience/training, incident command post experience/training.
