Registered Nurse
Your Opportunity:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in this busy rural setting will have a strong understanding and appreciation of the delivery of nursing care to diverse acute care and ER clients. The RN will demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads, and coordinates care with members of the inter-professional team. Demonstrated initiative, accountability, critical thinking, and strong clinical skills are essential. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required as is a commitment to integrating Patient and Family Centered Care principles into your practice. A commitment to professional development and promoting a positive work environment is valued. Preceptoring and/or mentoring student placements and less experienced staff is required. On-Call Duty is an expectation in this position. This position is in the town of Claresholm, AB. 130 km south of Calgary. Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications:ACLS. CTAS. Rural Acute Care and/or Rural ER experience within the last six months.
Preferred Qualifications:TNCC. PALS. NRP. ENPC. Relevant additional education/certification in wound care, palliative care, NVCI is considered an asset.
