Your exciting opportunity to become an RN of a General Medicine Unit at Chinook Regional Hospital. The candidate for 4C is one who has strong interest in acute medicine. We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join our unit that truly believes in patient and family centered care as well as working on a unit that strives to be supportive, caring and fun. 4C is a 34-bed medical unit specializing in the care of acute medicine patients. A candidate who can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient and family focused nursing care is required, working to full scope of practice with critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures and supported with the education required for the role. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. New grads are welcome to apply.
Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Acute care experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:PD training and stroke experience preferred.
