Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience (within the last 5 years) in pediatric in-patient trauma surgery or medicine. Strong organizational and assessment skills are required with the ability to communicate findings concisely and accurately. Must also demonstrate strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the capability of adapting to a fast-paced outpatient environment as well as an acute inpatient surgical environment. Proven reliability and dependability. Must be able to perform full duties with the ability to work with patients of varying mobility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completed the Level 4 and Charge Nurse Training preferred. Complete the Stollery Pediatric Orientation program and pass the following: PEARS course (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization course) and the Stollery Medication Administration Exam with 90%.
