Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Bedside nursing of 2 years in the last 5 years. You will need to supply a reliable vehicle and carry business insurance on your vehicle, which will be reimbursed for. You must be comfortable driving roads and at times that drive could be in the middle of the night in winter conditions if needed. Ability to be on call as required. Inter RAI HC certification. Connect Care experience. Experience with assignment of care, and supervision of unregulated health care staff. LEAP certification. Experience in wound vac, wound care, ostomy and continence care.
Preferred Qualifications:Aids to daily living (AADL) authorization certification preferred. 1-3 years of Home Care Case Management and wound care experience.
