Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate Nurses (GNs) actively pursuing licensure are welcome to apply and will be considered based on clinical readiness and alignment with program needs. Experience administering injections or immunizations, whether through clinical placements or employment, is required. Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Experience working with infants, young children, and families is highly valued. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, and a commitment to public health principles.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Experience with Connect Care or other electronic health record systems is an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with public health, immunization, or community outreach experience. Familiarity with culturally safe care practices and rapid response environments is also beneficial. A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation may be required for travel within the Edmonton Zone.
