Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Expert knowledge of co-occurring health needs (addiction and mental health) is required. Knowledge and experience using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V). Current Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers; Employer-provided training in Suicide Risk Management; Employer-provided training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention; Must have minimum 5 years experience working with vulnerable populations including those who are unhoused and living with addiction and mental health concerns. Knowledge of and ability to apply the principles of trauma informed care in all interactions with clients. It is also a requirement that the incumbent is physically able to rapidly respond to behavioural/clinical emergencies that may occur anywhere in the building which include navigating stairs, bending, squatting and lifting.
