Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be able to wear a lead apron (15-20lbs) for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to perform considerable amount of on call responsibilities on evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Must be able to perform a considerable amount of patient transfers each shift. A minimum of five years current nursing experience at least three of which are Critical Care environment in a tertiary level setting required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in Diagnostic imaging interventional and angiography procedures desired. OR, Emergency, ICU/CCU experience an asset. Certification in IV therapy, CVC Access and Care, POCT blood glucose monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Experience in Hemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, and PCA Pumps. ACLS an asset.
