Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certificate is required. A minimum of 3-5 years’ recent experience working in a community or acute children’s mental health and/or addictions setting required. Must have proven communication, behavioral management and assessment skills, as well as strong organization and critical thinking skills. Strong ability to work within a team and contribute positively to change in an emerging program is essential. Proficiency with computers, specifically the MS Office Suite is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills in mental health risk assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, case management and psychotropic medications used to treat youth with psychiatric diagnosis preferred. Experience working with Children’s Services, FSCD, health partnership initiatives, multicultural groups and new program development preferred. Connect Care experience is preferred.
