Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:BCLS issued from Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) only. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job. Duties that involve periods of physical activity such as standing, bending, walking and lifting.
Preferred Qualifications:Depth & breadth of nursing knowledge & complex reasoning reflective of level of education. Strong communication skills with effective negotiation & conflict resolution skills to improve inter-professional patient/community-centered care. Compassionate & caring attitude; conveying respect & dignity of all persons. Related experience in Collaborated Practices and Medicine preferred. Bachelor of Nursing (BN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
