Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered please attach a resume and cover letter with your application. Must the able to work to full scope of practice (physically, mentally and emotionally) on this very busy fast paced. Gastrointestinal/Hepatology Unit. Must be able to work within posted position rotation and shifts. Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. Recent acute care Medicine experience required. Basic computing skills required. Must possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills. Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment. Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of infection prevention and control guidelines and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care training, preferred. Charge Nurse experience, preferred. Recent GI, hepatology, and TB medicine experience, preferred. Greater than 2 years in acute care medicine, preferred. Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning, preferred.
