Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum education requirement of the position include Baccalaureate preparation or equivalent as assessed and determined by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA); Valid practice permit; BLS-C. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and carrying during the shift with frequent awkward positions; transferring and transporting of supplies, equipment and people of varying sizes and degree of mobility during the entire shift; long periods of sitting; repetitive fine motor hand movements (immunizing, computer work and electronic medical records); ability to walk several blocks, climb several sets of stairs.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years of Public Health experience; experience with the public health immunization program; Vaccine Coordinator experience preferred. Experiences with computers, Connect Care (including Willow Inventory) and AVI considered an asset.
