Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of Central Zone Obstetrics Postpartum and Labour and Delivery education. NRP, FHS. Minimum one year experience, in the past two years, in Acute Care (Obstetrics) setting working to full RN scope of practice. Ability to perform and document physical assessments, ability to administer medications within the acute care setting. Critical thinking skills, clinical judgement and problem solving. Ability to work as an effective team member, to accept and request direction as required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer skills and strong knowledge and experience using Meditech and Netcare. Connect care experience. CTAS, ENPEP.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience with obstetrical patients and newborn babies. Wound care education, CAM B. Lead II, Palliative care courses, Non Violent Crisis intervention, ACLS. Obs 101.
