Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current clinical experience (within the last 12 months) as a Registered Nurse in a Labour and Delivery Unit with experience in labour, delivery, perioperative, antepartum, and newborn care Minimum of three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years as a Registered Nurse in more than one of the following departments: acute care, emergency, intensive care, Labour and Delivery, obstetrics, and psychiatry. Experience with intrapartum Fetal Health Surveillance. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. A willingness to learn new skills as required. Ability to work shift work and meet the physical demands of the job.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Certification in a relevant specialty area. Completion of NRP, Electronic Monitoring and MoreOB certification or equivalent. Experience in an Obstetrical operating room environment. Current IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) Certification. Charge Nurse experience.
