Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:CPR - HCP level (Heart and Stroke Foundation) required and maintained throughout duration of employment. A minimum of two years recent cardiology experience required. Basic computer skills are required. Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care familiarity an asset Strong understanding of adult teaching principles preferred. Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills preferred Demonstrated flexibility and reliability Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Candidates may be required to write an exam on interview. Failure to achieve a passing mark on the exam may impact decision to hire.
