Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Minimum 2 years of experience in the last 5 years in a 0.5 FTE or greater within Provincial Public/Community Health Nursing programs specific to immunization scheduling, reporting of adverse events following immunization (AEFI), reporting of cold chain excursions and interpretation of related standards. This experience includes administering routine immunization to infants, children, school-age and adult populations, Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills in assessing and executing immunization related consults with minimal supervision and without standardized scripting. Demonstrated adaptability to rapidly shifting priorities. Reliable internet access and ability to maintain a confidential workspace is required for remote work within Alberta.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience in Provincial Public/Community Health Nursing Programs. Experience working in a virtual environment. Minimum 2 years of experience with immunization/CDC databases (CD/OM, Meditech, Netcare, Redcap) and software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams).
