Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Successfully pass the Stollery PEARS course (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization Course), completed in orientation. Successfully pass the Stollery Medication Administration exam (pass 90%). Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated initiative, accountability, problem-solving, organizational skills, and effective time management. Strong decision-making, assessment, and critical thinking skills. Ability to adapt and work within a fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment with competing responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to the candidate with a minimum of 2 years of acute pediatric experience as an RN within the last 5 years. Experience with children with tracheostomies, peritoneal dialysis, and medically fragile patient populations is considered an asset. Connect Care training and experience are considered an asset.
