Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Corrections health experience across youth, adult male & female remand/sentenced populations is required. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including external agencies. Demonstrated strength in working in a complex environment utilizing critical thinking. Demonstrated knowledge and application of AHS Harm Reduction policy suite and Trauma Informed Care principles. Ability to perform to the physical requirements of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent acute care experience preferred (up to full time equivalent within the last four years).
