Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 6 months experience on an acute care cardiology unit within the last 2 years is required or 1 year experience on an acute care medical unit within the last 2 years is required. The RN will demonstrate an understanding and compliance with the AHS code of conduct. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment skills and sound nursing judgement. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the multidisciplinary. team. Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. High functioning time management and prioritization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Experience in Cardiology preferred. Current telemetry certification preferred. PVAD & CVAD Certification preferred. SCM proficiency preferred. Charge Nurse experience preferred. Experience with family centered care preferred. Collaborative practice approach and philosophy preferred. It’s Your Move Training. N95 Fit Test - Current.
