Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to work in a stressful, rapid paced, dynamic environment required. Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including clinical judgment and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required. Ability to work independently and interdependently. Demonstrated strength in developing collaborative, effective working relationships with clients of cultural diversity and socio-economic diversity. At least one year recent (within the last year) acute care nursing experience as an RN or LPN preferred. Current experience (within last six months and of at least one year duration) in Emergency nursing or Urgent Care nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:Current ACLS certification preferred and required within 6 months of hire. Recent NVCI training preferred. Current (within last six months and of at least six months duration) triage experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting preferred. Current Urgent Care or ED charge nurse experience preferred. Current Urgent Care or ED triage nurse experience preferred. Computer skills an asset. Proficiency working with Connect Care (EPIC) preferred.
