Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Three years of recent acute care urology nursing experience including oncology, obtained with in the last five years is required. Demonstration of excellent assessment, critical thinking, problem solving. Organizational and patient care skills is required. Self-direction, adaptability and flexibility required while working in a fast paced, multi-faceted work environment. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required including public speaking and teaching activities. The position requires excellent working knowledge and experience with Microsoft office including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Calendar. Physical requirements include lifting, pushing and pulling to transfer or transport patients and equipment. Extended periods of sitting, standing and walking are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred. Participation in Quality and Process Improvement activities is preferred. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Knowledge in Neuromodulation and Pessary fitting an asset. A sound working knowledge of electronic medical record systems including Connect Care and Netcare is an asset.
